Sustainable Practices:
At BEATRICE & SKYE, we're passionate about creating unique, sustainable accessories that not only look great but also contribute to a more eco-friendly world. Our Belt Bags are handcrafted using upcycled jeans and other textiles sourced from thrift stores. By upcycling materials, we reduce waste and minimize our environmental footprint. Each piece is meticulously made, ensuring you receive a quality product that will stand up to the test of time.
UPCYCLED DENIM: Handcrafted from thrifted jeans, our Belt Bags use pieces of denim in a variety of washes to form the body of the bag. Why denim? It's a durable fabric that can stand up to repeated use. Each piece retains the unique characteristics of jeans they were salvaged from, no two belt bags will be exactly the same.
PLEASE NOTE: Belt bags may contain pieces of more than one shade/wash of denim; this is an intentional choice made while crafting the Belt Bags.
OTHER THRIFTED TEXTILES: Beyond denim, we upcycle a range of textiles found in thrift stores for lining the belt bags—vintage fabrics, patterned shirts, linens and more. These materials are carefully selected for their durability.
NEW MATERIALS: I wish we could, but we can't source everything through upcycling. Our new materials used are: zippers, bias binding, metal hardware, front panel fabrics, thread and interfacing (this gives the bag its structure).
